The Annual Museum Mile Festival is this Tuesday, June 9th from 6 pm to 9 pm. During the festival you get free access to Museums along 5th Avenue between 82nd and 105th streets. From experience, the lines can be lengthy so realistically you'll get to go around and appreciate about 2-3 museums. Hence you should pick the ones you most want to see.
