Looking for the best places to watch this Sunday's marathon, besides your couch that is? The ING web site has a great spectators guide with info about stoop parties, spots with food giveaways, music locations, etc. all along the route. Here's what sounded best to me:
Park Slope, Brooklyn - At Fourth Avenue and 7th Street, Time Warner Cable will have video screens and access to the Race Dau Tracker; enter your runner's official bib number and get an idea of where he or she is.
Queens: A neighborhood cheering zone at 44th Drive near Court Square and an ING Cheering Zone on 44th Drive between 11th and 21st where you can get bright orange cheer sticks.
Manhattan: At First Avenue and 59th Street, Food Emporium and Emerald Nuts will be giving away food samples and Clear Channel Entertainment will have a DJ. There's a cheering zone for runners raising funds for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital at 67th Street and a Time Warner Cable Online Cheer Zone at 83rd.
