I was out to dinner with friends last night and remembered this great self guided food tour that appeared in the New York Times in July of 2008. At a friend's request I have located the printable map so that you too can enjoy it.
This is such a great inexpensive date day for food lovers. I don't recommend doing this as a group because many of the shops are fairly small and seating is tight. Sharing portions is advised so that you have room to try more. The spicy lamb sandwich at Xi'An Small delights was delicious and the sweets at Sun Mary Bakery will make you want to buy extra to take home.
In sum, the eats are worth hopping on that 7 train until the last stop in Queens.
Happy Eating!
