If you've been tightening your financial belt your fine dining experiences have probably been cut back significantly over the past year. Don't get me wrong, I love creating my own meals at home and there are enough fabulous cheap eats in the city that good food abounds. However, every once in a while this Chica likes to get dolled up, sit in a fancy dining room, and enjoy a fancy meal. And so it's NYC Restaurant Week to the Rescue.
My strategy for reservations is to go places I've never been to, with the most creative restaurant week menus, and then check reviews on nymag.com. Please be adventurous i.e. try not to order the chicken. If you're trying to pay as little as possible then aim for lunches which are $24.07 for 3 courses.
Places I've been to for past Restaurant Weeks and loved: Craftbar, Morimoto, Blue Water Grill, Mesa Grill, and Molyvos. Make your reservations ASAP and don't forget to confirm them 24 hours in advance.
Buen Provecho!
