It's a beautiful day in NYC, a stunning 46 degrees expected! Getting outdoors seems like a requirement. Here's an inexpensive idea: Put your walking shoes on and go discover NYC. Here are some ideas:
The National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy organization offers free maps and audio guides for two historic NYC Walking Tours. You can explore or follow George Washington's New York or follow The Amsterdam Trail.
The Central Park Conservancy will be offering a few tours this afternoon but they also offer info for self guided tours. Just pick whether you wand to focus on the North-end, South-end, or mid-park.
The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership also offers a free map & downlaodable podcast to help you get around their 'hood. It's a 45-minute tour that helps you learn about Brooklyn's important role in the American Revolution, Downtown Brooklyn's African American heritage and the birthplace of the urban department store.
