Moose Hall Theatre Company, kicks off its 11th Annual Summer of FREE theatre and music in Inwood Hill Park.
Saturday
12pm-4pm: Adventures NYC
Climbing wall, fitness clinics, obstacle courses, bike helmet giveaway, music and more in Central Park.
2pm: Coney Island Mermaid Parade
The largest art parade in the country: "Each year, a different celebrity King Neptune and Queen Mermaid rule over the proceedings, riding in the Parade and assisting in the opening of the Ocean for the summer swimming season by marching down the Beach from the Boardwalk, cutting through Ribbons representing the seasons, and tossing fruit into the Atlantic to appease the Sea Gods. "
Sunday, June 20th
10am to 5pm: Punk Island
Governor's Island will play host to 17 staging areas that will feature musicians throughout the day. The event is part of Make Music New York (June 21st) festivities. Free ferries every 30 minutes from the Battery Maritime Building in battery Park. Visit the website for musical line-up info.
