The New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) and HBO Documentary Films are hosting a free outdoor screening of "El Espiritu de la Salsa."
I got to see the World Premiere of this film at the Tribeca Film Festival Drive-In a few months ago and highly recommend it. You don't have to be a Salsa fan to enjoy the film which tells the story of "lonely-hearts" students at a salsa dance studio in El Barrio (Spanish Harlem). At points it is laugh out-loud funny and an overall great time. If you do love salsa music, then it's just an added bonus.
When: July 26 · 8:30pm - 10:30pm
Where: St. Nicholas Park 135th street and St. Nicholas
Where: St. Nicholas Park 135th street and St. Nicholas

If you can't make it to the screening, watch the film on Monday, August 9 at 9PM/8C on HBO®.
