The weather here in New York is finally feeling like Fall and the leaves are beginning to take on their autumnal hues. That slight chill in the air sparks in me the desire for apple cider, pumpkin soups, and hot, hearty meals. For me Halloween is that first highlight of the season, so bring on the pumpkin carving, candy shopping, costume planning, and events.
I went to my first Halloween event of the season with my cousin and his kids on Columbus Day. We visited the Bronx Zoo for Boo at the Zoo and had a blast. The kids got dressed up in costumes and we enjoyed a spooky jay ride, a haunted mansion, reptiles, snakes and treats stops all over the zoo. Time was too short to take part in every activity but other options included pumpkin carving, a costume parade, magic shows and more.
Aww that looks like a lot of fun. I like our zoo here too.
