Small Business Saturday may have been this past weekend, but we should do our part to support our community businesses and local artisans when we can. For those of you in New York City and looking for unique gift ideas this holiday season, visit the Yorkville Holiday Exhibit and Sale Friday, November 30th 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, December 1st 11 am to 6 pm at Draesel Hall, 316 East 88th Street.
There will be 26 artists/artisans selling their work, one of whom is near and dear to my heart. Enid Israelson, Award Winner at the International Orton Cone Box Show, will be selling her beautiful pottery, earrings and letter openers. In addition to being a talented artist, Enid is my boyfriend's sweetheart of an aunt, so know that you'd be supporting a great person while you pick up a lovely gift for your special person(s).
